Slicktop does it again

He set the ball rolling with the famous “scaaatland yaard” and now his voice displays the same venom with his call to arms against “General Mushaaaaaraaaaaf” an impeachment to take place of the great general if he does not take a vote of confidence from the newly elected parliment.

Do i think the general will go? Nope not in my view can this weak coalition of past zeros turned into heros carry out something of this magnitude. Should he go? Perhaps that should be the case since he has outlived his own self in office so as to speak politically.  Perhaps it is time the general let the democratically elected government however hobble kneed it might be carry on things and take responsibility rather than just blaming him for everything wrong that occurs in this country.

However I still feel very very strongly about this whole charge sheet thing the coalition is preparing to carry out a trial of a career soldier in the parliament. It might be a democratic process yes, but to crucify a man who has fought many a war on the field and in his office for Pakistan is dishonorable to me. If he is willing to resign he should be allowed to go his way with dignity.

Off course we do not even allow our cricket captains a dignified exit, thus i really cannot expect anything less than carnage for Mush. who however dictatorly he might be gave this country 7 years of almost absolute stability and a growing economy. Compare that to the 30% food inflation we have had in the past 6 months and the rest of the disasters looming on the horizon and right now the public may even be yearning for a return to the past, rather than a stride into the future.

    Good point.

I liked the opening, with the “Scaaatlaand Yaard.”

  2. I am all for a trial with out the death sentence for Musharraf. This will set a precedent for the future. Killing/executing is no solution, there will always be a round of accountability.

I highly condemn the way politicians are carrying themselves towards this impeachment/trial senario. They should learn to behave, and learn something from that Karadzic case in Europe. I am sure you know about it.

  3. I totally agree they ve over rated the entire situation ! like people should grow up already and start concentrating on Real issues and not publicity gimmicks .
