Bushism of the Week

I think no politician in the history of the human race, starting right from the foundation of the senate in ancient Rome to today, has contributed this much in hilarity to his listeners. Obviously for the last 8 years no one has had much of a choice but to listen either. However in my salute to the many times he has made me laugh i will now be posting some of my favourite pearls from Dubya from time to time.

“I heard somebody say, ‘Where’s (Nelson) Mandela?’ Well, Mandela’s dead. Because Saddam killed all the Mandelas.” –George W. Bush, on the former South African president, who is still very much alive, Washington, D.C., Sept. 20, 2007

“I’ve heard he’s been called Bush’s poodle. He’s bigger than that.” –George W. Bush, on former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, as quoted by the Sun newspaper, June 27, 2007

  1. Actually – I can honestly say – as an American – that I have heard precious little of what GWB has had to say these last too many years – whenever I hear the sound of his voice, or Dick’s, or Rummy’s etc I quickly grab the remote control & hit the mute button. Call it self-defense by muting!
